Different Routes Of Fitness

1) What is Fitness?

Being involved in a physical activity is considered fitness! These can involve Sports and other physical activities. They’re hobbies that can be adapted into your routine, but how should we go about choosing which to do?

Before we dive into which to choose, I want you to know the basics guideline that makes every choice unique.

  • The activity, how the activity is performed and their generally accepted guidelines.
  • The benefit of being involved
  • Real Life application

3) Sports

Sports will generally involve teams who are focused on making projectiles into goals. These include but aren’t limited to;

  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Football
  • Hockey

These sports benefits stem from their improvement to lung health and endurance. As for outside application, these sports offer participants the ability to hone in their ability to work in a team and effectively communicate.

4) Body building

Bodybuilding is generally a self performed activity and can include;

  • Strength training
  • Cross-Fit
  • Calisthenics

These activities generally offer improved muscular strength, endurance, and size. Real life applications stem in the form of being able to understand how communities work as the gym is generally designed to be shared space with the ability to ask around for help and better understanding!

5) Endurance Focused sports

These sports can be performed in teams or alone! They include;

  • Track
  • Swimming
  • Cycling

These sports are much more Cardiovascular and Endurance focused with an emphasis on distance and timing. As for Real world application, These sports will keep you in prime physical shape!

6) Martial arts

One the most Labor intensive activities, These can be practiced solo but focus on a 1 on 1 situations. They include;

  • Boxing
  • Kick Boxing
  • MMA
  • Grappling
  • & Much more!

These are both muscular and cardiovascular dependent and offer Physical improvements. The real world application comes from the improved understanding of self defense and the ability to perform.

7) Conclusion

There are many more sub-sections to each of these areas and choosing which one best fits you should stem from your goals. I’m a personal who values my appearance a lot. With that being the case, I find myself being much more interested in body building then sports or endurance focused sports.

A final note I want to leave you with, Consider all options and experiment with each. You don’t have to contain yourself to one area, adopt multiple activities if you’d like.

The world and your lifestyle is dependent on our choices and boldness, take that risk and try something new! I promise you won’t regret it
